Convent Hill Project

The Constructionsitestock.com team is pleased to present these recent images of the Convent Hill development project currently being developen by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM). The phased development will consist of 182 on-site and 20 off-site mixed-income, public housing units. The new high-rise will be a sustainable, "green", leed-certifiable building with a rooftop garden. The completion date is set for Dec. 2008. Manpower International

It seems that after years of debate and inactivity, Milwaukee's Park East Corridor is beging to show signs of life. This image featured on Constructionsitestock.com and taken by a Milwaukeestock.com photographer shows the progress of the Manpower Corporate Headquarters developed by Gary Grunau and leased back to Manpower. Located just south of West Cherry St. and east of Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. on the Milwaukee River, this unique structure is sure to be a catalyst for developments in the area. The GC is Gilbane Building Co. of Providence RI, was designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects and the interior design done by Kathler Slater, both of Milwaukee.

WI University Club Tower

We have added an interesting image of the Wisconsin University Club Tower to our General Images 3 Gallery on Milwaukeestock.com. One of the newer highrise towers on the lakefront this images was taken from Broadway St. and Buffalo St. in the Historic Third Ward. The building architects were  Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP out of Chicago and the general contractor was JH Findorff.

With only a few spaces left to purchase this tower has simply wonderful views of the Milwaukee lakefront, Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Henry Meier Festival Park. What a great location to view the various fireworks on the lakefront during the summer season.

Miller Park

With baseball season around the corner we thought that we would begin a series of images to remind us that opening day is less than a month away. CPD has added this image of "Miller Park" to our Black and White Gallery. Taken a few years ago by the Milwaukeestock.com team right after the stadium was finished. Miller Park is home to the Major League Baseball team the Milwaukee Brewers. With construction starting in 1996, Miller Park was built to replace the aging County Stadium and was completed for opening day in April of 2001. It has the one of the only fan-shaped convertible roofs in America.

Miller Park is affectionately called "The Keg" by Milwaukee fans for the alcoholic beverages sold there and after which the park is named. A fun and boisterous crowd can be found in the bleacher sections. College students often fill these cheap seats to enjoy a game.

One of the unique features of Miller Park is the tailgating scene in the parking lots. Brewers fans typically grill food and enjoy drinks while playing games and listening to music in the parking lots prior to a game. Many companies also sponsor huge tailgate parties for their employees and clients. Miller Park has been rated as having the best tailgating scene in Major League Baseball. Fans from all over the Midwest come to Miller Park to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

River Renaissance Update

Constructionsitestock.com is pleased to present this image of the River Renaissance Condominiums under construction at the corners or Erie and Water Streets in Milwaukee's 3rd Ward. This is one of the many new projects happening in the area. Odgen and Company are the real estate agents and VJS is the general contractor. The project also includes retail and dining spaces.
