We have added a new gallery, "Motel Signs" to the main Creative Photo Designs web site. It features 1950's and 1960's period style architectural signage from Mom and Pop motels across the U.S. Click here for additional images.
The CPDupdate "Roadside Attractions" Gallery has been updated with a few new images including this one of the Flamingo Motel. Located in the Wisconsin Dells, WI, it is a classic example of the "Doo Wop Architecture of the mid-1950's. The flamingo is the largest fiberglass flamingo in the world.
We have added the image "The Varsity" to our Roadside Attractions Gallery. The restaurant is hughly popular with the residents of Atlanta, GA. Fashioned after a old mom and pop diner it even has drive-up service just like the old days. A great place for some southern hospitality. Image contributed by Mark R. Bertieri.
We have added the image, "Chicago from the Amtrak" to our Roadside Attractions Gallery. It was taken by Mark Bertieri this past summer on the Amtrak from Milwaukee to Chicago.
We have added this image of the Sherman Perk Coffee Shop to the CPDupdate.comRoadside Attractions Collection. The Sherman Perk Coffee Shop is located at 4924 W. Roosevelt Dr. in Milwaukee, WI. This former gas station is a classic example of Streamline Moderne architecture, a late branch of the Art Deco style. We have updated both Roadside Attractions Gallery with recent images from our visit to Door County, WI. This image of an abandoned gas station was actually taken in Algoma, WI on the way to Door County.
