Animal Tracks

Lately the cold, frigid weather here in the upper Midwest has proved to be quite a challenge for any type of outdoor photography. Our image "Animal Tracks" was just the case even though it was right outside our back door. Shooting the snow is always difficult (exposure control) but when the temperature is -5 degrees and the wind blowing at 15 mph your time is certainly limited. This image was taken in RAW format so as to shorten the time adjusting for the correct exposure in the chilly weather. In using the RAW format the exposure could be properly adjusted in post-processing in a much warmer environment. The images can be found in our Scenic Views Gallery.

Birch Tree

A break in the UW vs. Marquette basketball game gave CPD the opportunity to take a walk in the woods and experience some nature. We came across this strand of birch trees and with the sun shinning off the flapping piece of bark it made for an interesting image. The image has been added to our Scenic Views gallery.

Autumn From Above

We have added our image "Autumn From Above" to our Scenic Views Collection. The image is featured in the 2007 TMJ4 Weather Calendar for the month of October. The image was taken on a early Autumn day from one of the steeples at the Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary located just located in Hubertus, WI. For more information on the church, click here.

Tis the Season

It is time for a change of seasons and we have updated our Scenic Views Collection with images of Autumn. Here in Wisconsin nature takes a lovely turn with the landscape changing from green to various colors of reds, yellows, and oranges. This is a very colorful time here in the Midwest.
