Port Washington Breakwater LH

We have uploaded a new image of the Port Washington Breakwater Lighthouse taken this past Fall to the "Wisconsin Lighthouse Gallery" on Lighthousestock.com. Located in Port Washington, WI the Art Deco lighthouse is one of the most unique lighthouses on the Wisconsin border with Lake Michigan.

Fisherman's Road Lighthouse

Fisherman's Road Lighthouse is located about 8 miles North of Fond Du Lac and 3 miles South of Pipe, WI on Lake Winnebago. The images can be found in the Lighthousestock.com Wisconsin Lighthouse Gallery.

Calumet Harbor Light Tower

Fond Du Lac Lighthouse

The Lighthousestock.com team has updated the Wisconsin Lighthouse Gallery with two recent images of the Fond Du Lac Lighthouse. Located in Fond Du Lac, WI on the shores of Lake Winnebago this lighthouse is interesting because it is located on a inland lake. At 30 miles by 10 miles it is the largest lake completely in Wisconsin with over 88 miles of shoreline. Even though its beacon was removed many years ago, it still acts as a guide for boaters on foggy days.

Asylum Point Image Addition

Lighthousestock.com would like to thank Suzanne Murphy of the lighthouse club Wisconsin Lighthouse District (WILD) for this recent image of the Asylum Point Lighthouse located on Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh, WI. The landmark lighthouse recently underwent an extensive restoration. Click here to view a newspaper article on the efforts.

WILD is a wonderful group of individuals focused on the preservation and restoration of lighthouses in both Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region. Founded in 1996 as Harbor Lights Collectors Club - Great Lakes Division the club is very active in supporting both local and regional projects.

For now we have placed Suzanne's image in our Wisconsin Lighthouse Gallery. We would like to extend an invitation to all WILD members to also submit their images. If the response is good we will set up their own gallery.

WI Lighthouses Images Added

We have added images of the Manitowoc Lighthouse, Kewaunee Lighthouse, and Two Rivers Lighthouse from a recent trip up the Lake Michigan coast to Door County. The images can be found in our Wisconsin Lighthouse Gallery.

Port Washington Light Station

The Town of Port Washington, WI is a favorite of the CPD photographers. Not only a quaint, historic fishing town with very scenic settings, Port Washington is also home to two lighthouses. Both the Port Washington Light Station and the Port Washington Breakwater Light are steeped in nautical history. An article by Lighthouse Digest recently appeared about the Light Station. For those lighthouse buffs it provides some interesting history and it current status. Also, the Port Washington Historical Society which is involved in the Light Station has two web sites with additional information on the lights, click here and here.
