MKEimages.com Image of the Day - An aerial view of Miller Park taken by photographer Christopher Cote. The shot was taken with a 50mm prime lens at about 10:30 at night on Feb. 19, 2008. "I was returning to Wisconsin after a business trip in North Carolina. Our plane made it to Milwaukee, but had computer malfunctions and wasn't advised to land. We had to turn around, head to Chicago and get repaired at O'Hare. After a short stop, we headed back to Milwaukee, but stayed at a relatively low altitude for the whole flight which afforded me such a neat view". MKEimages.com Image of the Day - A crowd gathers for some afternoon dining at the County Claire Inn and Pub at 1234 N. Astor on Milwaukee's East Side. Known as Milwaukee's only Irish Pub the County Claire has won numerous awards for its traditional and contemporary Irish dishes. The pub is a lively year-around venue for Irish music. The Inn is a boutique bed and breakfast and offers a "home away from home" for the business traveler or a cozy getaway for weekenders wanting to experience the attractions of downtown Milwaukee. A must visit if you are in the area, rooms are also available for business meetings and private parties. The County Claire also offers tours through their sister Inn and Pub the Castledaly Manor located near Athlone in the midlands of Ireland. MKEimages.com has added this recent image of the Milwaukee County Courthouse to the Milwaukee Snaps - General Interest Gallery in our MKE General Interest Collection. Located in downtown Milwaukee the courthouse is a great example of Roman neoclassical architecture. The building is 730 feet wide, 197 feet deep, and 190 feet tall. The courthouse is faced with Bedford limestone and contains miles of marble lined corridors.
The Milwaukee Brewers Klements Racing Sausages were out and about in one of Milwaukee's suburbs today, Menomonee Falls. The sausages were at the Village Bowl on Main St. which also featured patio grilling demonstrations by Chef Daniel and the Fred Winn Bugline sponsored race car.
