Milwaukee - Walker's Point - Gallery 1
Bounded by the Menomonee River Valley on the North, 1st St. on the East, Greenfield Ave. on the South and 16th St. on the West, Walker's Point is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Milwaukee. Founded in 1835 by George H. Walker as a fur trading post the area is generally known as an industrial district but that has been changing. Many of the factories and warehouses are now being redeveloped into residential and retail facilities. The area is also home to a growing Latino and Gay and Lesbian population
